New technology uses ultrasonic sensors in vehicles to track real-time parking occupancy information

INRIX has introduced a new parking technology that leverages ultrasonic sensors in vehicles to track real-time parking space availability, the company said in a blog last month. While ultrasonic sensors are extensively use in vehicles for parking, INRIX developed a technology to use these sensors to scan, collect and transmit real-time parking occupancy information to the cloud from where it is sent back to vehicles to guide drivers to available parking.
