Continental, Nissan, Ericsson, NTT DOCOMO, OKI and Qualcomm to test C-V2X technology in Japan
Trials to validate benefits of C-V2X using direct communication technology
Continental has joined forces with Nissan, Ericsson, NTT DOCOMO, OKI Electric and Qualcomm to conduct their first cellular-vehicle to everything (C-V2X) trials in Japan, the company said in a press release on 12 January. The trials will showcase the improved range, reliability and latency benefits of C-V2X direct communication operated in 5 GHz band. In addition, the trials will showcase the complimentary benefit of network based communication using LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network.
