US chipmaker still faces bigger challenges of getting 80% of NXP’s outstanding shares tendered by the shareholders of Dutch supplier complete the acquisition

Qualcomm has received approvals from the European Commission (EC) and the Korea Free Trade Commission (KFTC) for the acquisition of NXP Semiconductors, the company said in a press release on 18 January. With this the US-based chipmaker has received eight out of nine approvals globally, with China remaining.
