Redundancy in safety-critical systems is vital to realize autonomous driving

At this year’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan (United States), Bosch is showcasing redundant braking and steering solutions for automated driving, the Germany-based supplier said in a press release. The company’s fail-degraded brake system combines its electromechanical brake booster iBooster and electronic stability control (ESC).
