FAW’s Hongqi brand to introduce 15 BEVs by 2025
The Chinese automaker also plans to mass produce Hongqi vehicles with Level 3 autonomy by next year and Level 4 by 2020
Chinese automaker FAW has released a new development strategy to boost sales of its Hongqi brand of luxury vehicles to 100,000 units by 2020 and 300,000 units by 2025, the company said in a press release earlier this month. Under the strategy, the Chinese automaker plans to roll out 15 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and two gasoline vehicles by 2025 under L (limousines), S (sports cars), H (full-size sedans) and Q (recreation vehicles) product series.
