Standardization of charging specifications will promote interoperability of technology irrespective of vehicle make

Whilst the prolific growth of electric vehicles (EVs) brings about a perpetual switch in the buying pattern of consumers, concerns over range anxiety, charging durations and a comparatively narrow choice of vehicles currently prevent the technology from becoming mainstream. Different EVs support different charging modes: whilst the entry models support AC Level 1 or AC Level 2 charging, the more expensive EV models support DC fast charging.
