New powertrain units include a new continuously variable transmission (CVT), 6-speed manual transmission, 2L engine, 2L hybrid system, and 4WD systems

Japanese automaker Toyota has developed new transmissions, engines and four-wheel drive (4WD) systems based on its Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) framework, the company announced in a press release on 26 February.
