Toyota creates new team in US to identify opportunities in shared mobility, connected services
New group to be headed by Zack Hicks, head of Toyota Connected, who was also appointed chief digital officer
Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), the holding company of Toyota’s subsidiaries in the United States, has established a new group called ‘Digital Transformation & Mobility Pillar’, TMNA said in a press release on 12 March. With effect from 2 April, the new group will include the Japanese automaker’s Information Services, Connected Technologies and Future Mobility Group teams. The teams will focus on emerging automotive technology fields of shared mobility, connected services and over-the-air (OTA) feature upgrades to identify new business models and future opportunities.
