Company’s self-driving test car struck a female pedestrian, who later died from injuries

Uber has halted its self-driving car trials after one if its test vehicles met a fatal accident in a Phoenix suburb in Arizona, United States on Sunday evening (18 March). The US-based ride-hailing company has suspended self-driving trials in Tempe, Arizona, where the accident occurred, as well as in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; San Francisco, California (all in the United States) and in Toronto, Canada.
