First ECU module to be a next-generation infotainment system

BlackBerry has entered a multi-year collaboration agreement with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to develop technology for JLR’s next-generation vehicles, BlackBerry said in a press release on 22 March. Under the agreement, the Canadian firm will license its QNX and Certicom technology to the UK-based automaker and assign a team of engineers to develop electronic control unit (ECU) modules. The first such module will be a next-generation infotainment system.
