Nissan to start exchange program for used Nissan LEAF batteries in Japan this year
Company to initially offer 24 kWh refabricated battery for JPY300,000 (USD2,863.3) apiece
In May this year, Nissan will start an “exchange program” where owners of LEAF electric vehicle (EV) in Japan will be able to exchange used batteries for refabricated ones under a new fee-based plan, the automaker said in a press release today (26 March).
