New York Auto Show 2018: Hyundai showcases US version of Kona EV
Vehicle features a high-voltage 64 kWh lithium-ion battery, offers 250 miles driving range
South Korean automaker Hyundai has showcased the US-version of Kona Electric at the 2018 New York Auto Show, the company announced in a press release on 28 March. The compact utility vehicle (CUV) will have a high-voltage 64 kWh lithium-ion battery giving a range of 250 miles (402 kilometers) per charge. The electric motor has a power output of 150 kW (201hp) and a peak torque of 394.5NM. The battery system is liquid-cooled and operates at 356 volts.
