PlusAI, Chery join forces on autonomous driving
Start-up teamed with Chinese truck maker FAW Jiefang Automobile last month to develop driverless commercial vehicles
Self-driving start-up PlusAI has formed a partnership with Chery Automobile to carry out resources and channel sharing in smart driving and jointly pursue research and development (R&D), integration and testing of its automated driving technology, the company said in a press release last week. The two partners plan to jointly conduct a pilot project in which PlusAI’s Level 4 autopilot system will be integrated into the Chery test vehicle. The two partners will also explore the commercial use of the PlusAI autopilot system Chery production cars.
