AND partners with Dutch government for developing HD map for autonomous driving
Pilot will use AND’s MapFusion technology to ensure that the data collected by smart cameras in cars automatically improves, updates and enriches HD map and location data
Mapping specialist AND has teamed up with Talking Maps, a pilot with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Noord-Brabant and V-Tron province, the Netherlands, to develop high-definition (HD) map for autonomous driving, the company said in a press release last month. The pilot will use AND’s MapFusion technology to ensure that the data collected by smart cameras, equipped in the vehicles of roadside inspectors, automatically improves, updates and enriches HD map and location data for use in autonomous driving.
