Proposal a step in the direction of commercialization of autonomous vehicles in self-driving ride-hailing services

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has issued a proposal that would pave the way for self-driving car companies to transport passengers without a backup driver in the vehicles, Reuters reported last week.
