Volvo, Alibaba to jointly develop AI car audio system
Two companies are also collaborating to offer online services such as navigation, weather, air quality and parking
Volvo Cars has collaborated with artificial intelligence (AI) lab of Alibaba Group to develop AI car audio system, Xinhua reported on 11 April. According to a statement by Volvo Cars China, the system, called “Tmall Gene” offers voice enquiries for information such as car window and door status and remaining fuel quantity in the vehicle. It also supports functions such as unlocking of doors and turning on air conditioning before the driver approaches the car.
