Harman opens new designs center in Mexico

New center employs 180 people, with plan to recruit another 80 by the end of this year

Last month, Harman held an opening ceremony for a new design center in Queretaro, Mexico, the US-based supplier said in a press release on 12 March. The new 2,000-square meter research and development (R&D) facility hosts 180 engineers in electronics, embedded software, mechatronics, computer science, mechanical and electrical systems. Harman plans to recruit another 60 employees at the newly established center to bring total headcount to 250 by the end of this year.
