Company will showcase new SUV at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show this week
Skoda held a world premiere for its all-new Kamiq sport utility vehicle (SUV) during the Skoda International Media Workshop at the Czech Embassy in Beijing, China on Monday (23 April). According to a press release by the automaker, the new SUV is equipped with an intelligent connectivity system—developed in-house—that can be operated via voice-control from iFLYTEK, a Chinese company specializing in artificial-intelligence (AI)-based voice control technology. The new SUV features 8-inch infotainment screen, which allows smartphone pairing via Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife and MirroLink. The connectivity system also offers other services such as real-time traffic information, weather updates and point of interest (POI) notification.
