Changing trends giving new directions to supplier product portfolio

Automotive lighting is being redefined by the market inclination towards electrification and autonomous driving. With dedicated efforts being put together to bring higher-levels of autonomy, the need to revise the vehicular architecture at a component level has sent the engineers back to the circuit board to address this revised definition of mobility. While fully automated vehicles are not expected to hit the market before the next decade, the sales of their core technologies – such as cameras, adaptive driving beam (ADB) smart LED and intelligent lighting system – are already booming in the market. Lighting, an important aspect of mobility, is therefore also witnessing a change from conventional lighting to digital lighting in vehicle.
