Ford takes steps to ensure supply continuity after fire at Meridian Magnesium’s plant in US
Says production of certain vehicles affected due to shortage of die-cast components
Ford is working with its supply base to offset impact on its vehicle manufacturing operations following a fire at one of its supplier’s plant on 2 May, the US automaker said in a press release on 9 May. “This is a fluid situation, but we are working closely with our supplier partners to do everything we can to limit the impact on our production,” said Joe Hinrichs, executive vice president and president of Global Operations.
