The V2I technology helps Audi vehicles communicate with road-side infrastructure such as traffic light

Audi has expanded its Traffic Light Information (TLI) system to two more cities in the United States— Kansas City and Phoenix, Audi of America said in a press release on 9 May. TLI is a vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication technology which enables vehicles to communicate with the road-side infrastructure such as traffic light in certain cities and metropolitan areas across the United States. With this expansion, the German automaker is now offering TLI system in select Audi models in 10 US cities, including Dallas and Houston, Palo Alto and Arcadia, California; Portland, Oregon and Denver, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C.
