Didi Chuxing gets permit from California DMV to test self-driving cars on public roads
Chinese mobility firm is the 53rd company to receive permit to test self-driving vehicles on state’s public roads
Didi Chuxing has is the latest company to received permit from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to test self-driving vehicles on the state’s public roads, according California DMV website. The state transport regulator has given permission to DiDi Research America, a subsidiary of the Chinese mobility start-up, established in March 2017. DiDi Research America, based in Mountain View, California, is focusing on artificial intelligence (AI)-based security and intelligent driving technologies.
