Australia orders recall of additional 1.1 million vehicles over defective Takata airbags

The latest recall increases the number of vehicles recalled in the country over faulty Takata inflators to around 4 million

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has ordered a recall of nearly 1.1 million vehicles equipped with potentially faulty Takata airbag inflators, the ACCC announced in its Twitter page on 26 May.
