Continental presents 'Morphing Controls' for vehicle dashboards
Company says behind the dashboard surface, sensors, electronic, and electromechanical elements help to make the controls take shape when needed
Continental has unveiled ‘Morphing Control’ technology that enables illuminated buttons to stand out against the surface of a dashboard as soon as a hand of the driver comes closer to the dashboard surface, the company said in a press release on 7 June. In response to the driver’s needs, the three-dimensional buttons take shape to allow the driver to choose their entry. As soon as the driver pulls his hand away, the buttons disappear without a trace left behind the surface.
