Plans to invest USD1 billion in Grab

Toyota has reached an agreement with Grab to strengthen their existing partnership on connected cars and drive adoption of new mobility services across Southeast Asia, the two companies said in a press release today (13 June). Under the new agreement, the Japanese automaker will invest USD1 billion in Grab. In addition, Toyota will nominate its executives to Grab’s board and a dedicated Toyota member will be seconded to Grab as an executive officer.
