AEB fitment in vehicles increases 10-fold in vehicle sold in Australia in two years, says ANCAP
ANCAP has made changes in its rating system to encourage the standard offering of AEB across the market
The fitment of autonomous emergency braking (AEB) has increased by 10-fold in new light vehicles sold in Australia in just over two years, according to the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). Of the top selling 100 models in Australia in March 2018, ANCAP said, 37 models representing 31% of the market offered AEB as standard. This is a significant jump from just 3% of the vehicles equipped with AEB technology in December 2015.
