Uber launches ‘EV Champion Initiative’ pilot program in seven US cities
The company’s new program builds on the success of existing pilots in Pittsburgh and Portland
Uber has launched ‘EV Champions Initiative’, a pilot program for driver-partners to deliver at least 5 million electric vehicle (EV) rides over the next year, according to a blog by Adam Gromis, global lead for Sustainability and Environmental Impact at Uber. The company started the pilot program on Tuesday (19 June) in seven US cities—Austin, Los Angeles, Montreal, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle— in partnership with leading EV adoption experts.
