Volkswagen (VW) to make components business independent entity from January 2019
Move expected to improve efficiency and optimize investments
The Volkswagen Group (VW) is bringing its components business under one roof to make it an independent corporate entity, called ‘Group Components’, with effect from January 2019, the German automotive group said in a press release on 2 July. The realignment, currently under progress, is focusing on area such as changes in the structure of the business areas, lean management and board systems and group-wide strategy for a coordinated entry into electromobility segment.
