Toyota AI has invested in 11 portfolio companies since its establishment last year

Toyota AI Ventures has launched a “call for innovation” initiative in partnership with Toyota Research Institute (TRI) to encourage entrepreneurial innovation, the Japanese automaker said in a press release on 11 July. Under the initiative, Toyota AI Venture offers promising start-ups the opportunity to get venture capital funding between USD500,000 to USD2 million. In addition, some may also have the chance to partner on a proof-of-concept with TRI. Toyota AI Venture is a venture capital subsidiary of TRI that invests in potential start-ups.
