Ener Zet to use Sollers’ Vladivostok plant to produce lithium-ion batteries

Sollers has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ener Zet to explore the possibility of producing lithium-ion batteries in Russia, RusAutoNews.Com reported on 12 July. Under the plan, the Russian automaker has agreed to offer a production site at its Vladivostok plant to produce lithium-ion batteries. The Russian automaker may also consider the possibility of entering a capital alliance to produce lithium-ion batteries, according to the report. In addition, Sollers has expressed its readiness to purchase locally produced lithium-ion batteries for use in its vehicles.
