ZF, Faurecia demonstrate cockpit solution for Level 4 autonomous vehicles

Two companies are collaborating on developing interior and safety solutions for autonomous vehicle for over a year

ZF and Faurecia have jointly developed an “operating and display concept” for fully automated vehicles (Level 4 vehicles) without a steering wheel and pedals, the German supplier said in a press release last month. The concept cockpit features three screens and a control lever in the center console to help drivers select either left- or right-hand positions for manual operations.
