GAC, CATL form two JVs for EV batteries in China
One JV will manufacture battery cells, the other JV will assemble battery systems
Chinese automaker GAC and battery maker Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) have formed two joint ventures (JVs) in city of Guangzhou, China for manufacturing electric vehicle (EV) batteries, Automotive News China reported today (24 July).
