Ford establishes dedicated company for autonomous vehicles
Commits USD4 billion investment in the new company through 2023
Ford has established a dedicated company to accelerate development and commercialization of autonomous vehicles, the company said in a press release on 24 July. The new company, ‘Ford Autonomous Vehicles LLC’, will house the automaker’s self-driving system integration, autonomous vehicle research and advanced engineering, autonomous vehicle transportation-as-a-service network development, user experience, business strategy and business development teams. Ford expects to invest USD4 billion in its autonomous vehicle efforts through 2023.
