Maven mobility platform to offer peer-to-peer car-sharing service
Company currently beta testing service in Chicago, Detroit, and Ann Arbor
GM’s mobility unit Maven has expanded its car-sharing platform to include peer-to-peer car-sharing that allows owners to earn money by renting out their personal vehicles, the automaker said in a press release on 24 July. The new service called ‘Peer Cars’ is seamlessly integrated into Maven app and is being offered alongside ‘Maven Cars’ for rental to its more than 150,000 members. Maven is currently offering Peer Cars car-sharing service in beta form in Chicago, Illinois; Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan. Based on insights and learnings from beta testing, Maven plans to expand the service to other cities in the third quarter of 2018.
