Infineon Q3 net income up 7.1% y/y to USD365.6 million
Company raises full-year financial outlook
Infineon has reported 7.1% year-over-year (y/y) increase in net income to EUR271 million (USD365.6 million) for the third quarter ended 30 June 2018, the Germany-based semiconductor company said in a press release on 1 August. Revenue increased 6% y/y to EUR1.94 billion, driven by rising demand for Infineon’s products and strong US dollar. Higher revenue also helped Infineon report 5% y/y growth in segment result to EUR356 million, resulting in segment result margin of 18.3%. Infineon reported 7% y/y growth in operating income to EUR319 million.
