Mahle opens ‘real drive emissions’ testing center in UK
German supplier invests USD10.9 million in new test center
Mahle has opened a real drive emissions (RDE) test center at Mahle Powertrain’s Northampton site in the United Kingdom, the Germany-based supplier said in a press release on 31 July. The new RDE center will focus on complete development of powertrain solutions right from concept to reality. Mahle invested GBP8.3 million (USD10.9 million) for establishing the new test center. The company received GBP2.1 million investment from SMLEP’s (South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership) Local Growth Fund for the new center.
