Volkswagen's mobility company MOIA begins ride-sharing service in German city Hannover
Company plans to make at least half of its fleet in Hannover electric by 2020
MOIA, the mobility services company of the Volkswagen (VW) Group, has commenced ride-sharing operations in Hannover (Germany), MOIA said in a press release on 30 July. Initially, the company will deploy its ride-sharing service with 35 vehicles and 150 drivers. In June this year, MOIA received license from the city of Hannover to expand its fleet to 150 vehicles. The company has plans to make at least half of its fleet in Hannover electric by 2020.
