Amazon releases Alexa software development kit for new cars
New SDK available for download at GitHub, free of charge
Amazon has released open source Alexa Automotive Core (AAC) software development kit (SDK) for automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEM) that want to integrate the popular voice-based service into their vehicles, VentureBeat reported on 9 August. The new SDK is available as a free download on GitHub and includes source code and function libraries to enable a vehicle to process audio input and triggers, and handle interactions with Alexa. Amazon is also offering sample apps, build scripts and documents supporting Android and QNX operating system or ARM and x86 processor architectures.
