Solvay, Premium Aerotec, Faurecia launch consortium for production of thermoplastic composites
Consortium to focus on development of materials and process technologies for high-volume production of thermoplastic composites for automotive and aerospace markets
Solvay, Faurecia Clean Mobility, and Premium Aerotec have joined forces to launch a consortium called ‘IRG CosiMO’ (Industry Research Group: Composites for Sustainable Mobility) to develop materials and process technologies that will enable high-volume production of thermoplastic composites for automotive and aerospace markets, Solvay said in a press release last week. The consortium partners will leverage their expertise, capabilities and resources to develop the innovative materials and process technologies for sustainable mobility in the next three years. In doing so, the consortium will focus on composite adoption, industrialization and the acceleration of ramp rates in both industries.
