Nuro, Kroger to test self-driving vehicle for grocery delivery in US
Two companies first announced partnership for autonomous delivery service in June this year
Self-driving vehicle start-up Nuro and food retail chain Kroger have selected Scottsdale in Arizona to pilot autonomous delivery service beginning 16 August, Nuro announced yesterday in a blog posted on Medium. Kroger-owned Fry’s Food store in Scottsdale will start delivering groceries using self-driving fleet operated by Nuro. Interested customers can shop for groceries using Fry’s Food website or mobile app and place delivery either for the same either same- or next day.
