Two companies first demonstrated self-driving Aptiv fleet on Lyft’s ride-sharing network during CES 2018 in Las Vegas in January this year

Lyft has completed more than 5,000 rides in self-driving fleet provided by Aptiv in Las Vegas, United States, according to separate blogs posted by Lyft and Aptiv on their websites this week. “Hitting 5,000 consumer rides is a major milestone, not just for Aptiv and Lyft, but for the entire mobility space,” said Glen De Vos, CTO of Aptiv and president of Aptiv’s Mobility and Services group. “This is the first-of-its-kind commercial self-driving program, and we are proud to be offering self-driving vehicles for public use today,” De Vos said.
