VW to launch ‘We Share’ electric car-sharing service in select German cities
Automaker will begin service in Berlin with 1,500 e-Golf electric cars in the second quarter of 2019
The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand of the Volkswagen (VW) Group plans to launch an all-electric car-sharing service called “We Share” in select cities in Germany, the company said in a press release on 23 August. The automaker will roll out first search service in Berlin in the second quarter of 2019. VW will initially deploy 1,500 eGolf electric cars in its fleet in Berlin with plans to further add 500 e-up! later. VW intends to replace these vehicles with its I.D. family of electric cars from 2020.
