VW plans USD4 billion investment to build digital business through 2025
Automaker will invest in building digital products including a cloud-based platform that will connect vehicles, customers to offer services such as car sharing
The Volkswagen Passenger Car brand of the Volkswagen (VW) Group plans to invest EUR3.5 billion (USD4 billion) by 2025 to push digitalization across the its products and services, the company said in a press release on 23 August. The German automaker plans to invest in building digital products including a cloud-based platform called “One Digital Platform” (ODP) that “connects the car, the customers, and the services”.
