Indian steelmaker will set up the steel plant in a joint venture with ArcelorMittal

State-owned steelmaker Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) is considering locations in three Indian states, namely Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, to set up a new automotive steel plant in a joint venture (JV) with ArcelorMittal, local news agency Press Trust of India reported on 28 August citing the country’s steel minister Chaudhary Birender Singh.
