Yandex launches autonomous vehicle ride-hailing service in Russia
Company claims to be the first to offer autonomous vehicle ride-hailing service in Europe
Yandex has launched an autonomous vehicle ride-hailing service in Innopolis, Russia, the company said in a blog on 28 August. Initially, the company is operating two autonomous vehicles to provide rides to specific locations in Innopolis, such as the university, the stadium and residential blocks in the city. The autonomous vehicles will have a safety engineer in the passenger seat.
