Hybrids’ sales grew by 49.2% y/y to 151,835, sales of battery electric vehicles increased by 45.5% y/y to 32,202

European Union (EU) has recorded a growth of 43.8% year-on-year (y/y) in sales of plug-in electric vehicle (EV), which includes pure-electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, to 72,168 units during the second quarter ended 30 June 2018, according to a press release by European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
