Partners pledge to share data that will provide cities and mobility companies with tools to manage traffic congestion, enhance safety and reduce emissions

Ford, Uber and Lyft have agreed to share data through a new platform called SharedStreet that provides cities and mobility companies with tools to manage traffic congestion, enhance safety and reduce emissions, the US-based automaker said in a press release on 26 September. The three companies pledged to share data sets that will enable private sector to work with cities around the world and improve urban mobility. The partnership will offer city mayors access to road traffic data, allowing them to make better planning and investment decisions as shared and autonomous mobility arrives in the cities.
