Siemens roadside unit receives OmniAir certification
The certification well positions Siemens Mobility to benefit from expected surge in demand for RSUs
Siemens Mobility’s Sitraffic ESCoS roadside unit (RSU) has received connected vehicle certification from Omni Certification, the company said in a press release last week. According to Siemens Mobility, its ESCoS is one of the few RSU that meets the US Department of Transportation’ FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) specification version 4.1. The certification well positions Siemens Mobility to benefit from expected surge in demand for RSUs amid growing focus on vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication technology.
