AGL’s UCB platform aims to offer 70-80% of starting point for a production project to automakers and suppliers

Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) has released its latest connected car platform, Unified Code Base (UCB) 6.0, featuring device profiles for telematics and instrument cluster, AGL said in a press release last week. The new platform includes an operating system, middleware and application framework. The UCB 6.0 also includes reference applications for functions such as media player, radio tuner, navigation, web browser, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HVAC control, audio mixer and vehicle control.
