First automaker to test self-driving vehicles in the US capital

Ford is gearing up to start testing of its self-driving vehicles in Washington D.C., the United States, from early next year, Sherif Marakby, CEO of Ford Autonomous Vehicles announced on Medium on 22 October. The US capital will be the fourth city after Detroit, Pittsburgh and Miami, where Ford will launch its self-driving testing. As part of the preparation, ArgoAI, which is leading development of self-driving system at Ford, is currently conducting mapping of the public street in Washington D.C.
